Last night, had a wonderful time at Sweet Life, with a lot of giggling and outright laughter. As Vicki said, "I better stop here. I'm heading into some increases, and that takes concentration." The only reason I didn't mess up my sweater-panel more than I did was because it was stockinette. We had a *lot* of ladies - KnitFriendly/GroupMom, Svetlana (who knits such beautiful things - and SO FAST!!), Alli, Vicki, Me, mom, she-who-knits-SotS, she-who-has-cool-wire-glasses-holders, she-who-videojournals, she-whose-sweater-looks-hommade-yet-wasn't, and at least two other women whose names I don't have yet, and whose projects I wasn't quite close enough to see. I will get everyone's names one of these years.
This morning, I decided to at least see what was in the pile in the middle of our middle room. Several surprises lurked therein:
1. | [KnitStuff/PeacockFeatherPattern.jpg] | First was what had once been the acryllic yarn that was about 1/8 of the Peacock Feather shawl. I unraveled it, because while I fully intend to knit this sucker again, I'm *so* doing it in Claudia Handpainted Silk Lace. |
2. | [KnitStuff/thelostsock.jpg] | Next was a sock I don't even remember starting. I'll be unraveling it, too... and who knew I already had a set of dpn's? |
3. | [KnitStuff/thelostsockNo2.jpg] | I think I remember starting this sock, but having no clue what I was doing. I'll be starting it again, too. |
4. | [Crochet/AnneSweater1.jpg] and [Crochet/thelostsleeve.jpg] | First is the COMPLETED sweater I did for my carpool driver. Second is the sleeve I did for that sweater, but lost in my house. So, I've got an orphan sleeve. It does NOT count as a project in progress, since its intended project IS finished, and has been given to its new owner. |
All y'all have a good weekend now, y'hear?
The yarn in #1 is very pretty. Hurry and make that so I can see. lol
