Changes ahead...

Not sure what happened over at Photobucket, which was started as a photo-hosting site... but they're not doing that any more, unless you pay Much Money. (Guess the revenue from the super-annoying ads wasn't enough, eh?)

So don't worry, the blog photos will be back, it's just going to take some time.

There is a LOT of work left, but I think it'll get done (or enough will that we'll be ok).

Knit Nights

One of the things the store won't have is a big area for people to sit down and knit. There are both pluses and minuses to this, but I need the space to sell product!

The more things change....?

I remember, when I was younger, thriving on change. Moving to a new place? Great! Trying new stuff? Awesome! Looking back, though, I realize that those were changes that were well-defined, with set times and proscribed boundaries. 

I'm trying to look at opening the store like that. It's working... a bit. Right now, with my proposed opening day looming ever closer, it's overwhelming. Every issue I deal with today has trailers that snake into tomorrow.

And the end isn't really the end; it's opening day.

I'll probably feel better when I get the last five major items accomplished. And I do have more than a week to do it all. 

Deep breath.

It'll be fine.

Moved 3 Van-loads of furniture and yarn (mostly yarn) to the store today.

Very little of the yarn will be for sale; I just want it out of my garage (where I can't get to it) so I can go through it. 

It's a lot of yarn.

Oh, man. I'm sorry everyone - I just noticed that I hadn't published any of the comments you've left for the last... yikes!! Six months! I'll be better about that, I promise!

Since I've kinda vanished the last few weeks (okay, most of September), let me tell you what's going on:

I'm opening a yarn store!!!!!!

I haven't got a lease in hand (but hopefully soon), and I do have a name - which I'll tell you all once I have the website up and running so you can check it out.

I've already decided that this year's NaNoNovel will be my adventures with starting up and opening a yarn store.

Back, somewhat!

Oh, man. When last I posted, I was all a-squee over being able to go to TNNA for the first time ever!

It was awesome. I got great stuff. And then I got sick for two solid weeks, and I'm just now getting back into the swing of things!

I'm working on HPKCHC classes (will have pics tomorrow), am doing Tour de Fleece for the first time ever, and... um...

Brief break

Sorry I haven't been posting! Between TNNA & health stuff, it's been really busy. I hope to be back with TNNA, more Quilt Show, and new projects mid-week next!

It's Metro Yarn Crawl time. This basically means in the last two days I have knit maybe 6 rows on a shawl.

So, posting because Habitica, rather than because I have anything to show.
