Went to Woodlawn...

Went to the Woodlawn Needlework Exhibit on Sunday. It's smaller than last year, but needlework is very much a leisure-time/good-economic-times activity, and we're not quite out of the economic woods just yet. Lovely, lovely things inside, though. Managed to *not* buy anything in the gift store this year, though. Thus, on Tuesday, whilst I was going through my craft room, I found the 2013 Woodlawn program - and the kit I bought then. So I started it: I'm about halfway through the Pearl Cotton #5 rows now. Yay?

Featherweight Cardigan Knitalong!

So, a bunch of us at the store are knitting the Featherweight Cardigan. Worsted, Sock, lace... needless to say, the bigger yarns are further along. Here's week #1:

Spinning Wheels

So I'm learning to use a spinning wheel.


So far so good. We'll see if I survive plying....

Granny Square Crochet Hearts

Did you know you can make Granny Square crochet hearts? I didn't either:


However, it's pretty easy. Make a granny square....


... then add some bumps...


... and ta-dah! Heart!!


Add a picot edge, and they're really pretty!
